Little Wombat is excited. He's found a new friend to play with who walks strangely, has a funny little face and, most amazingly of all, can swim like a fish in the water! But when Platypus tries teaching Little Wombat to swim, Rabbit and Koala begin to wonder if wombats should stick to dry land...
Charles Fuge won both the Macmillan Prize and the Mother Goose Award for his first book. He has had numerous books published since, including Yip! Snap! Yap! and the hugely popular Sometimes I Like to Curl Up in a Ball for Gullane ('Highly Commended' for the Kate Greenaway Medal, 2001). Charles lives in Burton Bradstock, Dorset.
