Description

It's every little girl's dream to be a ballerina, right? Well, not in the case of Belinda, the ninja ballerina.

Enrolled in ballet classes against her will, Belinda would take a headstand over a pirouette any day. But nobody will actually listen to Belinda's protests that she wants to be a ninja, not a ballerina. That is until Belinda stages a one-girl protest and demands her rights. Her teacher has to put her thinking cap on and finally comes up with a solution that will keep everybody happy.

Author description

Candida Baker is a well-known writer and journalist. She has had numerous books published, and has worked on many magazines and newspapers including The Age, The Sydney Morning Herald and The Australian. She has two children, and her daughter is a keen ballet dancer - and NOT a ninja. She lives near Byron Bay with a menagerie including six horses, two dogs and a cat. This is her third children's book.

Mitch Vane has had a long career working as an illustrator and artist - she works in a variety of mediums but is at her happiest drawing with a good old-fashioned dip pen and Indian ink creating quirky humorous children's book characters with publishers both in Australia and the US. She is best known for her collaboration with writer and partner Danny Katz. www.mitchvane.com Also by Candida Baker: I Know That, The Baby Angels Counting Book.
