Product Information

Megan is a Brooklyn, New York-based rooftop apiarist, blogger and backyard farmer. She has been featured in National Geographic and New York Magazine and on ABCs Nightline, NPR, and the Huffington Post. Her urban-homesteading projects can be read about on her blog, Brooklyn Homesteader. Megan currently hosts an annual Beekeeping Bike Tour and teaches Beekeeping 101 classes at 3rd Ward in Brooklyn and at the New York Botanical Gardens. In addition, she oversees apiaries in conjunction with Eagle Street Rooftop Farm, the first rooftop farm in New York, and maintains hives for Batali & Bastianich Hospitality Group at their rooftop garden at Tarry Market in Portchester, New York.
