Author description

Marc Ellis is an ex-professional rugby union and rugby league player, a businessman, husband and a loving father of two. He has written four books, including his memoir, Crossing the Line, Good Fullas and Top to Bottom, and a cookbook that he's never cooked anything from. He is full of great ideas (that he actually acts on), easily bored, surprisingly sentimental and, like his father Chris, believes that 'if you can dream it, you can do it'. He judges his success in life on what kind of father he is - everything else, he says, is completely irrelevant. Kirsten Matthew has worked as a writer and editor for almost 20 years. A native New Zealander, she has spent most of her career working in New York as an editor at InStyle.com, the New York Post and Page Six magazine. She has written for The New York Times and Time Out New York, and many other newspapers and magazines.
