Kirsty Murray is an award-winning author of books for children and teenagers. Her many publications include Zarconi's Magic Flying Fish, Market Blues, and the historical fiction quartet Children of the Wind. In 2011 her novel India Dark won the Young People's History Award section in the NSW Premier's History Awards. Florence Boyd is a designer and fine artist. The Black Cat Book Club is her first illustrated children's book.
